You might be in the right place if…
…you’ve been getting on with things, but it’s starting to feel like a lot
…you feel overwhelmed, even though you look like you’re coping on the outside
…you’re carrying grief, recent or from a long time ago, that still shows up in your life
…something has shifted, and you don’t quite feel like yourself anymore
…you’re navigating menopause and feeling the emotional impact of that
…you’re used to being the one who holds everything together for everyone else
…you don’t have the words for how you feel, just a sense that something isn’t right
…you’ve been telling yourself to “just get on with it” — but it’s getting harder to do that
…you want a space where you can talk openly, without judgement or pressure
…you’re not in crisis, but you know you’d benefit from support
Areas I support women with
Grief & Loss
Grief isn’t always about the death of a person.
It can come with the loss of a beloved pet, the ending of a relationship, changes in health or identity, or the loss of the life you thought you would have.
You might feel stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward while still carrying what’s been lost.
Together, we create space for your grief, without pressure to rush it, minimise it, or “move on” before you’re ready.
Menopause & Emotional Changes
Menopause can bring more than physical changes. Many women experience shifts in mood, identity, confidence, and how they see themselves.
It can feel unsettling, especially when it’s hard to put into words.
Counselling offers a space to explore those changes and feel more grounded in yourself again.
Identity & Life Transitions
Sometimes life shifts in ways we didn’t expect.
You might feel unsure of who you are now, or where you’re heading next.
Whether it’s changes in relationships, roles, or life stage, counselling can help you make sense of it and find your footing again.
Anxiety
Anxiety can show up as constant worry, overthinking, or feeling on edge. Often, it’s not just about what’s happening now, but everything you’ve been holding underneath.
In our work together, we gently explore what’s behind the anxiety, rather than just trying to manage the symptoms.
I’m trained in CBT, so where it feels helpful, I can offer simple, practical tools to support you — but always at your pace, and in a way that feels right for you.
Meet
Kristina
Hi, I’m Kristina.
I’m a person-centred counsellor supporting women through grief, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions including menopause.
Many of the women I work with are used to holding everything together on the outside, but inside things feel heavy, confusing, or just not quite right.
How I work
Therapy with me isn’t clinical or scripted.
It’s a real, human conversation — a space where you don’t have to filter yourself, find the right words, or worry about being judged.
We go at your pace, focusing on what matters to you.
I won’t assume your story, but I will sit alongside you as you begin to make sense of what’s going on.
What this means for you
I won’t pretend to have all the answers, and I won’t ever assume your experience is the same as mine.
But I do understand how it can feel to carry a lot, to keep going, and to quietly wonder if things could feel a bit easier.
You don’t need to be anything other than yourself here.
Keeping it real
I’m not about jargon or making things complicated.
I’ve worked hard to get where I am, and I bring that same grounded, down-to-earth approach into my work. I’m just a normal woman who’s lived through some of life’s harder moments and I bring that understanding into the room with me.
Therapy with me is simply a space to talk, to feel, and to begin to make sense of things in your own way.
A little about me
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 15 years working in palliative care, supporting people and families through the end of life.
It’s work I loved, and still feel deeply connected to.
During that time, I lost my mum. I carried on working, supporting others through loss night after night, but I don’t think I ever fully allowed myself to process my own grief.
Years later, I lost my dad, and then my brother.
Those experiences changed me, and brought me face to face with grief in a very different way.
Where I am now
Grief is still a part of my life. Not something to “get over”, but something I’ve learned to live alongside.
I’m also navigating peri-menopause, and all the emotional and physical shifts that can come with that. Like many women, I’m noticing changes in my own identity, including watching my children grow up and begin to find their own way in the world.
Life looks different now, and I understand how unsettling that can feel at times.
How We Can Work Together
There’s no one “right” way to come to counselling.
Some people come weekly, others less often. Some arrive knowing exactly what they want to talk about, others aren’t quite sure where to start.
We’ll find what works for you.
In person - Face to Face Counselling
I offer face-to-face sessions in my private, calm space in Gosberton, Lincolnshire.
It’s a quiet, comfortable setting where you can take time out from everything else and focus on yourself.
The space is wheelchair accessible, with toilet facilities available.
Online Counselling
Sessions take place via Google Meet, from the comfort of your own space.
This can be a good option if you prefer flexibility, or if travelling to appointments feels difficult.
I work with women across the UK, so you don’t need to be local to access support.
All you need is a quiet space where you feel comfortable and able to talk.
Telephone sessions
If video doesn’t feel right for you, telephone sessions are also available.
Some people find it easier to talk without being seen, especially at the beginning, or when things feel a bit harder to say out loud.
Free 15 minute intro call
If you’re considering counselling, you’re welcome to book a free 15-minute intro call.
It’s a chance to ask any questions, get a feel for how I work, and see if it feels like the right fit, with no pressure to continue.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you get in touch.
You don’t need to book an intro call first if you already know you’d like to begin counselling.
You’re welcome to book your first session directly instead.
Session details
Sessions are 60 minutes and cost £55.
Daytime and evening appointments are available.
There’s no minimum number of sessions, you can come for as long or as little as feels right for you.
What My
Clients Say
"I was always really hesitant about starting therapy, but I’m so glad I did — and that’s completely down to Kristina.
She creates such a safe and calm environment where you can open up without feeling judged or pressured, which made it so much easier for me. It’s honestly made a big difference to my wellbeing, to the point where I now look forward to going.
I’d definitely recommend her to anyone who’s unsure about starting counselling."

"Kristina creates a space that feels entirely safe and judgment-free. Her calm, compassionate presence allowed me to open up and explore deep-seated issues I didn't even realize were still affecting me. Through her patience and insight, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of myself and navigated challenges I once felt stuck in. I am so grateful for her support and would recommend her to anyone considering therapy. It’s never a goodbye with Kristina, but a 'see you later' knowing her door is always open is a huge comfort… 😊"

Kristina has given me a supportive and friendly space to work through the difficulties of life. Have had a rough time and issues within my work which have made me question so many things about who I am and what I a stand for. That alongside navigating the pitfalls of menapause where for me any way my anxiety has been even worse and I again question everything about my abilities. Kristina has helped me to be able to talk about how I feel and the disordered thinking and helped me to work my way through it. Am starting to feel more productive again and happy which has been a long time coming this has been noticed within my family and at work. Its great to have a quiet and peaceful space to go with someone that genuinely cares . If you are struggling consider Kristina, it's not a quick fix for me but feeling better than I have in many years and want to continue to be able to stay on this path. Some sessions there is alot to talk about if something is worrying me and others it is more processing the good and the not so good. Thank you Kristina for all your support."
